The Lowville Demonstration Area is located on 92 acres at the former Lowville Tree Nursery. A nature trail with numbered stops winds through the variety of tree stands, and is good for hiking and biking in the summer, and cross-country skiiing in the winter. There is also a fish pond on site for use by youths under age 15, members if an outing, senior citizens, and those people with disabilities. A detailed brocure leads the visitors through the area and offers interpretive information, and is available at the office and at the parking area. Organized tours are available by appointment.
