Seasonal Transportation to Old Forge, NY
Lewis County began providing public transportation to and from Old Forge, NY in June 2012 at the request of the County’s Youth Bureau. Old Forge is home of New York’s largest water theme park, Water Safari. Many Lewis County residents secure full time seasonal employment at the water park or other business and leave the driving to us. The fare to Old Forge is only $1.00 each way. You don't have to be an employee to ride the bus; all of Lewis County Public Transportation buses are open to the public.
Currently Lewis County Public Transportation runs two buses to Old Forge seven days a week. The North Central bus serves Croghan, Lowville, Glenfield and Lyons Falls. The South County/Oneida bus serves Port Leyden, Boonville, Woodgate and Thendara. Public transportation to Old Forge runs daily early June through Labor Day Weekend.
