Lewis County has instituted the CodeRED Emergency Notification System.

This high-speed telephone communication service gives county officials the ability to deliver emergency telephone notification/information messages to targeted areas or the entire county at a rate of up to 60,000 calls per hour. It then delivers our message to a live person or an answering machine, making three attempts to connect to a number.  In addition to your home phone we need you to give us your cell or internet-phone number which will allow us to include these numbers in the notification list.

PLEASE NOTE:  THIS SYSTEM IS ONLY AS GOOD AS THE INFORMATION YOU SUPPLY.

IF YOUR NUMBER IS NOT IN THE DATABASE YOU CANNOT BE CALLED.

THE SYSTEM WILL ONLY BE USED FOR EMERGENCY PURPOSES.
